I think the meaning of life can be summed up in Dr. Seuss quotes

Remember her?  Well, believe it or not, but the rest of the family is just as beautiful.  If I were a geneticist (say that word five times fast!), that was into building super good looking and sweet human beings, I would be stalking this family trying to get my hands on some of their DNA.

Here's her older sister and brother...

Posing animals like they are humans is fun. And yes, I am also one of those people that LIKES little sweaters and funny human costumes for animals.  If I had an animal, you can bet it would be the proud owner of a multitude of funny sweaters and tophats. And maybe even a football uniform like this!

Two Favorite Images & Three Reasons I Sometimes Feel I Live in the Twilight Zone

Love.

LOVE.

LOVE THESE.

There's a quote I love. I don't know who said it, but if it isn't apropos to the picture above, I don't know what is.

"Sometimes being a brother is better than being a superhero."

This picture makes my ovaries ache. If someone could guarantee I could get pregnant and have another boy and a brother for Jude, I would do it right. now.

And now, the three reasons I sometimes feel I live in the Twilight Zone.

1) I caught myself saying, "Jude, don't walk down the stairs in your high heels!"
2) I found Emily outside selling rocks from our front lawn. And our neighbor buying them.
3) Jesse made sure to tell me not to put any of his spandex in the dryer {snicker. spandex is funny!}.

Reasonable explanations for each, but telling them would not be as much fun now would it?

Prices Increases!

I am increasing prices on everything (sitting fees and all products) effective March 15, BUT if you book a 2010 session before then, you will be grandfathered into current prices. I totally realize schedules are subject to change due to weather, baseball tournaments and ear infections, so you just need to get on the books!

And I wanted to share the funniest text message I have ever gotten with you (names have been changed to protect the innocent!, hee hee).  My friends have a four year old boy. And not just an ordinary boy. The things that come out of his mouth are pretty extraordinary.  Here is that text:

Joey woke up, came into our room, and said "Momma and Daddy, I found a poop in my underwear. It's not mine. I think its from the dog. I threw it out. "  John asked where he threw it out. Joey replies "under my closet door."

As of 8 pm last night, the renegade poo had yet to be located...

Red, White & Blue

I once saw a house in House Beautiful or HGTV or somewhere that was white with black shutters and a red door. Every since then I have wanted THAT HOUSE. Or rather, that color combination. We are finally getting around to painting the outside of our house, because 1) it is the color of baby poo currently, and 2) Some critter dug a hole into the side of our wood house and we have to get it repaired, so why not just paint the entire house? Good thing I am not squeamish and the thought of some critter running around my attic doesn't really freak me out. I say we should all live in peace with the critters of the world! Of course, that isn't stopping me from calling the exterminator, but I do hope that little critter, whatever it is, makes a clean getaway. I think my parents permanently scarred me by setting mousetraps in the house when I was growing up in Colorado. I tend to feel sorry for even the littlest bugs- which is why I can't go fishing... those poor little worms struggling on the hook... that's just SAD!

OK, so back to the house. Although my heart has been set for YEARS on a white house with black shutters and a red door, I was talked out of it this weekend. First of all, we don't have shutters on the house ("But whhhyyyyy can't we add them?" I whined, "Because it will double the cost of the paint job." Jesse replies. Darn.) Second, Jesse showed me a white house in the neighborhood that had gotten a little dingy. I have a hard enough time keeping the inside of the house clean, but adding an exterior pressure wash every 6 months to a white house (as our contractor told us white houses need)- no thank you!

So I think we decided on a bluish gray with white trim and of course my red door. So it will be red, white, and blue. Love that. It's about time we had some color after the long, hard winter we had. Those of us in Houston consider 5 nights in the 30's one LONG, HARD WINTER.

Speaking of color- love this family and all the COLOR from their session!

Spring is in the Air!

FINALLY- I am seeing some green here and there, and the littlest wildflowers are beginning to pop up. Whoo hoo!!

The little girl mentioned in the post below- well- if you prayed for her, those prayers have been answered. She is on the road to recovery. Double whoo hoo!
